Manchester United striker Robin van Persie says his future will be decided by his family.

The striker has his eye on next summer's European Championships in France as he weighs up his United future but says ultimately his wife and two children will have the biggest influence on his next step.

Van Persie explained: "That tournament [Euro 2016] is going to play a big role in the choice I will make. But most important is the wish of my wife and children.

"Whatever I do, my wife Bouchra and children Shaqueel and Dina Layla are the highest of my priorities. They have to be happy. "

Shaqueel is currently enrolled with Manchester City's academy.
