Arsenal rebel Robin van Persie wants a move to Manchester United ahead of Manchester City. The People says Van Persie's preference is believed to be Old Trafford, where he believes he'll get far more game time than at City, as Roberto Mancini is already overloaded with strikers.
Van Persie would have competition from Sergio Aguero, Mario Balotelli, Carlos Tevez and Edin Dzeko and, possibly, Emmanuel Adebayor if City cannot agree a deal with Tottenham chairman Daniel Levy for the sale of the Togo striker.
Mancini is desperate to stop Van Persie joining United but last night Sir Alex Ferguson appeared to be in pole position.
Sir Alex Ferguson thinks signing Van Persie would give United a great chance of reclaiming the title and is excited by the prospect of having four top strikers - Van Persie, Wayne Rooney, Danny Welbeck and Javier Hernandez.
