Fenerbahce signing Robin van Persie only quit Manchester United after agreeing a staggering £6 million pay-off, it has been revealed.
The Daily Star Sunday says Van Persie signed for Fenerbahce in a £4.7m deal – and promptly picked up another £4m signing-on fee and wages of £240k-a-week.
The Dutch striker, 31, signed a three-year deal with the Istanbul club – which works out at a jaw-dropping £37,440,000 – after his representatives struck a compromise with United on the terms of his golden goodbye.
That means the hitman has collected a massive £47,444,000 for moving from Manchester to Istanbul.
