Robin van Persie enters crunch talks with Arsenal chiefs today. The Mirror says Van Persie has returned to London to try to sort out the mess surrounding his Arsenal future by holding a new round of talks with manager Arsene Wenger and chief executive Ivan Gazidis.

But Manchester City and Juventus are set to put more pressure on the Gunners by formalising their interest in van Persie this week.

The striker has been holidaying on the Caribbean island of Aruba and was away when the statement confirming he will not be signing a new Arsenal contract was released.

Van Persie arrived home over the weekend and both Wenger and Gazidis are desperate to talk to the Arsenal captain without interference from under-fire agent Kees Vos.
