Real Madrid striker Ruud van Nistelrooy believes former Manchester United teammate Cristiano Ronaldo will win the Ballon d'Or.

"My vote would be for (Iker) Casillas," said Van Nistelrooy, "however, I think Cristiano will win."

Asked about Real's push for Ronaldo, the Dutchman added: "A player like him would be good for any team. I think everything about that subject has already been said."
