Real Madrid's former Manchester United striker Ruud van Nistelrooy insists it is only a matter of time before Cristiano Ronaldo joins him at the Bernabeu.

"I believe Cristiano will be sold next year," he said. "He wants to come to Madrid and when a player is keen to leave then it is hard to keep him."
