Van Nistelrooy has no grudge against Man Utd's Ronaldo

Real Madrid ace Ruud van Nistelrooy insists he has no grudge against former Manchester United teammate Cristiano Ronaldo and backs the Portuguese to be crowned the world's best.

A training ground bust-up with Ronaldo led to Van Nistelrooy being axed for Manchester United's last game of the 2005-06 season.

And the Dutch star was then sold to Real Madrid for £11million after falling out with boss Sir Alex Ferguson.

The striker, who netted 150 United goals, insists he 'holds no grudges' against Ronaldo.

Talking in the latest edition of Inside United magazine, Van Nistelrooy said: "My final months were difficult but I don't think of those.

"Ronaldo's improvement has been incredible since then. He is on a par with Kaka and Lionel Messi.

"But if he carries on like this, he'll be the best. He has got everything."
