Ed Woodward's future at Manchester United is on the line this summer. The People says new manager Louis van Gaal is increasingly worried that United's crucial transfer plans have stalled.
He wants at least four new players by the time United embark on their pre-season tour to America in mid-July.
That gives Woodward only a month to deliver the promised star signings.
If Woodward fails to deliver this time, a specialised director of football could be the answer in the way City have appointed former Barcelona official Txiki Begiristain.
