Van Gaal slams Courtois over Chelsea 'blunder': He needs new keeper coach

Former Manchester United boss Louis van Gaal slammed Thibaut Courtois for his performance in Chelsea's Champions League defeat to Barcelona.

Courtois was beaten three times, with Leo Messi twice putting the ball between Courtois' legs.

Van Gaal, calling the game for Ziggo Sports, took a swipe at Chelsea's coaching staff for the Belgian's blunder.

"The game was turned upside down due to the blunder of Courtois, which I think is a big blunder, that ball just would not go in until then," said Van Gaal.

"If he'd have had Frans Hoek as goalkeeper coach, he would have closed his legs.

"That just should not be allowed to happen."
