Van Gaal draws line through NINE Man Utd flops

Manchester United boss Louis van Gaal is prepared to put a line through NINE senior players. The Telegraph says after witnessing his second string humiliated in the Capital One Cup by the MK Dons the Dutchman is now eager to trim the deadwood from his squad as soon as possible.

Danny Welbeck, Tom Cleverley, Javier Hernandez, Shinji Kagawa, Anderson and Wilfried Zaha are all on the chopping block.

Anders Lindegaard could be on his way too with the futures of Rafael and Ashley Young still up in the air.

With only the Premier League to concentrate on Van Gaal is apparently happy to go forward with a first team squad of just 20 players.
