Former Manchester United goalkeeper Raimond van der Gouw has joined the chorus of people who believe Louis van Gaal would be a success as manager of the famous club.
The Old Trafford outfit are on the hunt for a new boss following Tuesday's sacking of David Moyes and the current Holland manager is being heavily linked with the role.
Ex-Red Devils gloveman van der Gouw, who was with the club between 1996 and 2002, is of the belief that the former Barcelona and Bayern Munich man is primed to take the reins at United one he completes his obligations at this summer's World Cup with The Oranje.
"He has proved he's a good manager," Van der Gouw told BBC Radio 5 live.
"He's a champion in Holland, Germany and Spain. He can be a good manager for United.
"If you have to go to a big club like United, you need experience. It's a big step to go from Everton to Manchester United (like Moyes did). It's a much bigger club, much more responsibility."
