Holland coach Louis van Gaal believes Manchester United aren't close to signing Arsenal striker Robin van Persie.
The Premier League starts next Saturday, with Arsenal welcoming Sunderland to the Emirates.
Holland's new boss Louis van Gaal said: "Robin will play his first game this Sunday. He has told me he is at least going to play 45 minutes this weekend.
"It is a good job, because I almost had not selected him."
