Timothy Fosu-Mensah cannot believe that he would have worked with Louis van Gaal and Jose Mourinho at the tender age of just 18.

Fosu-Mensah broke into the scene at Manchester United last season under van Gaal and the defender managed to impress, putting in a number of fine performances.

Following the departure of van Gaal, Fosu-Mensah is now set to work with another huge name in the form of Mourinho and the youngster has admitted that he is really looking forward to the prospect.

The Dutchman told Voetbal International: "I've never heard a player speak badly about Mourinho.

"I'm curious - I want to develop into a top player for Manchester United under him. That's the next step in my plan.

"You're 18 and you've had Van Gaal and Mourinho as your managers. Really, it's unbelievable."
