Van Egmond cops fine and suspension

Newcastle Jets coach Gary van Egmond has been found guilty of bringing the game into disrepute. Football Federation Australia has suspended van Egmond for four matches and fined him $2,000.

However, two of the matches and the total amount of the fine have been deferred until after the 2008/2009 season.

The Jets coach will be 'restricted in his access to players, the field of play and media within a five hour period on match days' for A-League Rounds 12 and 13.
