Former Real Madrid midfielder Rafael van der Vaart is being linked with a return to Spain.

AS says Van der Vaart, off contract at Hamburg SV, is being offered to Primera Liga clubs this week.

Malaga and Real Betis have been alerted to the midfielder's availability.

A few months ago Van der Vaart stated that he would one day like to play "at Cádiz" but, with Cádiz CF still in Segunda B (or in the Segunda if they manage to secure promotion), such a move is unlikely.

Both Malaga and Real Betis have given agents a positive response over the prospect of taking on the veteran.
