Rafael van der Vaart was thrilled with his matchwinning goal for Real Madrid against Sevilla on Saturday. The Dutchman has fought hard this season to stay in coach Manuel Pellegrini's plans and came off the bench to hit the winner against Sevilla.

"I've suffered like no one else and eventually made a place for myself in this team," he insisted. "I'm proud of what I have done.

"Celebrating the goal was crazy, unbelievable. It was my best moment as a Real Madrid player."
