Tottenham's Rafael van der Vaart has urged manager Harry Redknapp to sign a new contract.
The 65-year old is currently in talks with Spurs hierarchy regarding the length of a new deal with Dutchman van der Vaart hoping it does get sorted for the good of the club.
"I think he's going to sign a new contract - I hope so - and I think it's also good for every team when they have a manager who's there for many years. So I hope he stays.""Yeah, I think so. He is doing a fantastic job, so I don't see any problems," said van der Vaart when asked if it was important for Redknapp to re-sign.
