Rafael van der Vaart says he didn't think twice about moving to Tottenham.

The Dutchman joined Spurs last week from Real Madrid.

Discussing his move, Van der Vaart said: "It was the last minute on the last day. Tottenham were calling and I was really excited to come to England. It was done in one or two hours.

"For me it was easy. I really like this club and at Madrid it was so difficult to play there so it was better to come to a top club in England. I was only there for two years but I had four different managers and that's always difficult. It's a great club with great people there but at the end of the day you want to play."
