Rafael van der Vaart is happy with his decision to leave Real Madrid for Tottenham in August.
The Dutch ace has been a revelation this season.
On the decision to leave Real, he explained: "I feared I would break my grandfather's heart leaving but he gave me his blessing. He told me he knew I was a good player and not to stay where I wasn't wanted.
"He said go and find your love somewhere else. When I told him I was going to Tottenham he was so happy.
"And I couldn't be happier in my life. Tottenham is a great club. The players are fantastic and so down to earth. And it helps to play for a manager like Harry Redknapp who has so much belief in you."
