Van der Sar: Friday announcement on new Man Utd contract

Manchester United keeper Edwin Van der Sar has reportedly been offered a new deal as his current contract expires at the end of the year.

The Daily Mail claims the Dutchman's agent Rob Jansen will make an official announcement on Friday afternoon stating that the two parties have come to an agreement over a one year extension.

As much as I feel that VDS is past it and prone to errors, I don't feel that we have a replacement that is ready to take over yet.
