Manchester United have listed Edwin van der Sar as a potential candidate to become their first director of football.
The former Red Devils goalkeeper has been the CEO of Ajax since 2016.
And according to The Sun, van der Sar's expertise at the corporate level has cast him as a desirable candidate, along with Roma's Monchi and Juventus chief Fabio Paratici.
Following a difficult summer, United are convinced a director of football will help establish a firm standing in the transfer market.
The club are deciding to take a slow process by going through an extensive of amount of interviews.
