Edwin van der Sar says he didn't think twice when offered a new one-year contract at Manchester United.

"It was not difficult at all," van der Sar told MUTV. "It's a great club to be at, with a great atmosphere in the dressing room, the boss is fantastic and we have the best stadium in England.

"I've enjoyed every minute of the three-and-a-half years I've been here so far and I'm really looking forward to playing for another season after this one."

Van der Sar and his United colleagues have now switched their sights to world domination, and the Dutchman is keen to bring the Club World Cup trophy back to Manchester before Christmas.

"I won it with Ajax but that was just one game and now you play a semi-final as well, so it's going to be different," he said. "We're there a little longer than normal, so we'll do our best and hopefully bring another trophy home."
