Former Manchester United goalkeeper Rai van der Gouw is a big fan of David De Gea.

De Gea is being tipped to be the best in the world by the Dutchman.

"This was his second season and he's done a fantastic job. If you want to finish champions you need a very good goalkeeper," van der Gouw told the Manchester Evening News. "You need a goalkeeper who is in form and that's exactly what he is.

"I have the feeling he is getting better and better.

"If you look at the long term, I think he is going to be fantastic goalkeeper for United."

But does De Gea have what it takes to get to the very top?

"It's a matter of time. If he carries on as he is doing he has a good chance of doing that," van Der Gouw said.
