Van den Brink joins Perth Glory

Former Gold Coast United defender Bas van den Brink has signed with A-League rivals Perth Glory.

The 28-year old Dutchman has joined the Western Australian outfit until the end of the 2012/13 season after having a short stint with Korean club Busan I'Park.

van den Brink, who spent two years on the Gold Coast, said he was delighted to join the Glory squad which has taken shape this off-season with a number of quality signings.

"I have been very impressed with the squad coach Ian Ferguson has assembled," van den Brink said.

"I'm delighted to be heading to Perth and helping the club achieve success this season."

And Glory coach Ian Ferguson said the inclusion of van den Brink had his playing group looking very good on paper.

"It's great to have Bas on board," Ferguson said.

"He's another new face into the squad and a quality signing.

"Compared to last season I'm really pleased with the squad. I feel that we have more depth now."
