Van Basten, Hiddink on shortlist of Chelsea owner Abramovich

Chelsea owner Roman Abramovich has a series of top Dutch names lined up to succeed manager Carlo Ancelotti.

The Sun says Ancelotti is heading for the Chelsea exit and Marco van Basten and Guus Hiddink are in the frame to be boss.

Blues owner Abramovich was impressed with Hiddink, now in charge of Turkey, when he was caretaker boss following the sacking of Felipe Scolari in 2009.

But former Dutch striker Van Basten, 46, is also on his radar.

He bossed the Dutch national side until 2008 but has not worked since leaving Ajax the following year after failing to qualify for the Champions League.

He was recently being lined up as the technical director of Sporting Lisbon but his backer failed to win the club's presidential election.

Now Van Basten is looking for a new challenge and Chelsea could fit the bill.
