Barcelona coach Ernesto Valverde doesn't want to lose Riqui Puig this summer.

The young midfielder is off contract next month and in contact with Tottenham.

Sport says Valverde is aware of Spurs' intentions and has ordered Barca directors to do all they can to convince Puig to stay.

The midfielder joined first team training towards the end of last season after an outstanding campaign with the Juvenil A team.

Valverde is eager to accelerate Puig's progress next season - should he choose to stay.
