Former Real Madrid and Real Mallorca midfielder Borja Valero is happy playing for West Brom boss Tony Mowbray.
"The coach has a more Spanish style than others so that is better for me because it is more physical here," he told the Birmingham Mail.
"We play in a more Spanish way. Maybe I couldn't play in another team in England. Bolton and Stoke probably wouldn't suit me. Everything has happened as I thought it was going to but at the moment we are at the bottom of the table.
"We have been playing against the big teams so hopefully we will go up (the table).
"We are playing well but now we need the results."
On his move from Mallora, Valero added: "Everything happened very fast. I got a call saying that West Brom were willing to pay the clause in my contract to Mallorca and I came here.
"I wanted to come here because I think the English league is the best in the world and I want to progress my career.
"Teams play hard and it is more physically but I think I have adapted to the team and I am very happy with that.
"I like this style of play and I am happy to be here with it because in Spain I wouldn't have had the chance to be more physical."
