Frozen-out Valencia midfielder David Albelda admits he's delighted to be playing football again as he prepares with Luis Aragones' Spain squad for their friendly against France.

"I am very happy to be involved again in training and playing football," said Albelda. "It is strange not to be able to compete with your club, which is why I am so grateful for this chance. A month has gone already, I am staying calm and just taking it day by day.

"I don't want to talk about what Ronald Koeman has said about me. It's better not to respond."
