Valencia's technical director has returned to Spain empty-handed following his dealings with Tottenham.
The Italian travelled to North London to negotiate with Spurs regarding Roberto Soldado but Los Che rejected their bid of £22million.
It is believed that Tottenham could return with an improved bid whilst Liverpool also remain interested in Soldado who would cost £26m.
