Valencia striker Villa remains hopeful of Barcelona move

Valencia striker David Villa remains hopeful of joining Barcelona in the summer.

Barca coach Pep Guardiola made an attempt for Villa over the summer before selling Samuel Eto'o to Inter Milan for Zlatan Ibrahimovic. The coach even spoke to Villa via telephone about a move to the Nou Camp.

El Mundo Deportivo says Villa remains keen on seeing the deal happen at the end of this season.

Working in Villa's favour is that he would be welcomed to Barca by the players, with the senior leadership group all holding the striker in high esteem.

I dont think David Villa should accept such an offer. He's already the world's best striker at Valencia. Its really a bad move.
