Valencia are frantically attempting to open new contract talks with Spain U21 winger Carles Gil.

Gil's early season form on-loan with Elche has brought him to the attention of Barcelona and Manchester City.

While his current deal with Los Che runs to 2016, Gil can leave Valencia for an affordable £5 million, courtesy of his buyout clause.

Aware of the growing transfer interest, Valencia are now scrambling to open talks about a new deal with Gil's camp.
