Valencia president Amedao Salvo has slammed Arsenal's efforts to buy goalkeeper Vincente Guaita.
The Mirror says Salvo rejected Arsenal's £6million move for their goalkeeper Vicente Guaita, and called the bid "absolutely insufficient."
Under-fire Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger - whose only signing of the summer has been young striker Yaya Sanogo on a free - is keen on Guaita, but does not want to meet Valencia's £20m buy-out clause so is tempted to switch keeper targets.
Salvo said: "I am surprised by the proposition put forward. It is absolutely insufficient. I did not even consider it."
