Valencia have warned Manchester City off winger Carles Gil.

On-loan at Elche, Gil's form has attracted the attention of City this season.

But Los Che president Amadeo Salva snapped: "Carles Gil is ours and next year will play in the first team. It is a good sign that other clubs want him.

"It would be bad if no-one was interested."
