Valencia president Manuel Llorente has confirmed they're chasing Getafe striker Roberto Soldado.
Soldado is being lined by Valencia after selling David Villa to Barcelona.
Llorente said: "I have no fear of escape. It's not done yet because we are also looking at more options and we know how transactions within the market are. Right now, any operation is outside our budget. The player we want, we are not going to let escape. That I can guarantee."
Asked about Soldado's 10 million buyout clause, Llorente added: "It's 10 million, but we must bear in mind that Soldado is a good player, a Spanish player, the best that we could bring to Valencia. I insist that we want, we are not letting him escape.
"I know that he would like to come. He's a Valencia [born] player and that is something positive when we make the decision, bear in mind. There are more points in his favour."
