Valencia president Manuel Llorente admits they need to consider selling their top players.
Having revealed they rejected approaches for David Villa, David Silva and Juan Mata in the summer, Llorente admitted: "Valencia is not a seller. It's another thing to consider a very interesting offer, but the goal is to have a competitive team.
"What happens is that the economic situation is difficult and we must maintain fiscal balance. Last season €70 million was lost and this also added to the deficit (between 35 and 40). We will need imagination.
"It's nice and popular to say that you are not selling, but now comes the hard part ..."
