Valencia: Pachuca kept West Ham negotiations secret

Enner Valencia admits Pachuca management kept the identity of West Ham United secret during negotiations.

West Ham signed the Ecuador striker after the World Cup.

He had only joined the Mexican side Pachuca in January, where he was the league's leading goalscorer.

"After the World Cup, Pachuca said there was an English club who were interested in me," Valencia told the London Evening Standard. "They did not want to tell me the name of the team. I don't know why they didn't want to tell. That's what directors are like. They're always watching something. They had to reveal it eventually and here I am at a marvellous club."
