Tottenham face stiff competition for Olympique Marseille winger Florian Thauvin.

Spurs made contact with Marseille last week to register their interest in Thauvin and to ask about a price.

Marseille insisted to Spurs intermediaries that Thauvin would not be allowed to leave for less than €15 million.

Le Sport 10 says Valencia have come forward this week with a bid of €14 million for the midfielder.

Thauvin, a France U21 international, is tied to l'OM until 2018.
