Valencia have lost whizkid Ferhat Cogalan to Lille.

The 16 year-old has left on a free transfer for the French outfit, with LOSC paying €120,000 in compensation.

Having turned 16, Cogalan was ready to sign pro terms, but couldn't agree a deal with VCF and instead will pursue his career in France.

L'Equipe says the youngster has penned a four-year contract with Lille.

The midfielder was wanted by clubs across Europe after being regarded among the best players for his age in the game.
