Valencia have moved ahead of Juventus in the race for Hamburg midfielder Rafael van der Vaart.

Italian super agent Enzo Bronzetti revealed last night: "The new sports director at Valencia (Miguel Ruiz) has met with the agent of Van der Vaart. It now seems odds on that the player will move to Spain.

"Juventus now have only a 10 per cent chance of signing Van der Vaart."
