Valencia are eyeing Atletico Madrid goalkeeper Leo Franco.

The Argentine has baulked at opening talks over a new contract with Atletico officials and is now inside the final 12 months of his present deal.

Atletico could use Franco as a makeweight in their interest for Valencia winger David Silva, who has been put up for sale by the fallen Spanish giants.
