Valencia are eyeing Arsenal defender Gabriel Paulista.

Cadena Ser says Gabriel is wanted by his former Villarreal boss Marcelino, who is now coach at Valencia.

However any possible deal for Gabriel is complicated by the defender's knee injury.

Gabriel suffered a medial knee ligament injury in the final game of the Premier League season against Everton after attempting a tackle on Enner Valencia.

In his three seasons at Arsenal, the 26-year-old has made 63 appearances for the club.
