Valencia's new board want to bring Liverpool boss Rafa Benitez back to the club.

Marca says Valencia vice-president Rafael Salom has told his board that the man he would like to succeed Ronald Koeman is Benitez. Salom also wants to bring back former Valencia technical chief Eduardo Macia.

However, Valencia chiefs know any pursuit of Benitez is a dead-end given his success in Europe with Liverpool.
