Valencia players have attacked Stoke City striker Peter Crouch ahead of their Europa League return-leg.

Crouch has been accused of leaving scratches on the back of defender Angel Dealbert, whose remarkable outburst seems sure to raise tensions ahead of Thursday's Europa League tie in Valencia.

"After the game, my back was covered in scratches," said the 29-year old. "Every time we went up for a high ball, Crouch pushed his hands into my back. It was completely red by the final whistle.

"I don't know why the referee didn't say something, because I was being fouled all the time."
