Valencia defender Aymen Abdennour admits a move to the Premier League last week was close.

It's understood Abdennour was a late transfer target for Chelsea.

And he revealed: "I was negotiating with English clubs during the summer market, but for financial reasons we could not make the transfer."

However, the defender insists he's committed to Los Che.

"Valencia is a great club and I have no problem to continue because I have four years on my contract."
