Valencia have confirmed they're in talks to sign AC Milan fullback Didac Vila.

Valencia's President Manuel Llorente confirmed that completion of the deal is close.

"It is true that we are negotiating with Milan for him," Llorente told reporters on Friday.

"Our sporting director Braulio has for several days been in contact with Milan and I believe that everything is proceeding in the direction we want."
