Gary Neville says he won't resign from Valencia after their Copa humiliation at Barcelona.

The Manchester United legend was asked directly three times if he would quit after last night's devastating result.

For the first one, he has responded with a terse "no" and for the other two he preferred not to respond, "Next question".

Neville added: "It's painful. We were feeling totally helpless against a great opponent and this result is unacceptable.

"I have to agree that it was a painful night.

"Tonight we have taken a major step backwards."
