Valencia coach Ronald Koeman has shrugged off David Albelda's selection by Spain coach Luis Aragones.

Koeman won't consider Albelda for his first team, but that hasn't stopped Aragones from including the midfielder in his squad.

"He's probably been selected because he is fresh," dismissed Koeman. "I tried to help him find a club during the winter market.

"Believe me, it's not a good situation for a coach. I want players at Valencia who I believe can contribute and have only the interest that the team wins."
