Valencia sports chief Miguel Angel Ruiz was in talks with PSV Eindhoven coach Ronald Koeman yesterday.

AS says Ruiz was in Eindhoven last night to meet with Koeman's lawyer and discuss the prospect of prising him away from PSV.

It also emerged that Koeman's close friend and representative, Bayram Tutumlu, arrived in Valencia yesterday. The Turk said: "I only can say that Ronald is a great trainer and if he ends up at Valencia the fans will enjoy very much their team's football.

"I have known him for 20 years and his aim, sooner or later, is to coach a great club in Spain."
