Valencia sports chief Jesus Garcia Pitarch has confirmed they're keen on West Ham striker Simone Zaza.

However, any deal will depend on Zaza, who is on-loan from Juventus, dropping his wage demands.

"Basically, the biggest challenge is the salary he earns at West Ham is totally unreasonable.

"But we can negotiate," Pitarch told Super Deporte.

"I do not know what the coach thinks about this, but if we can reduce his salary, he is a player that we can evaluate."
