Valencia sporting director Fernando Gomez has warned fans that top stars could soon be sold.
With the club €550 million in debt, there remains the prospect of Valencia cashing in on star names David Villa and David Silva.
"I do not know if in the end selling our stars will happen or not, I have lived and seen situations in Valencia, such as the relegation to the Segunda and what happened to us last season, where people have never given back to the club," said Gomez.
"I know the fans are prepared to live any kind of situation that comes up, always for the good of the institution itself.
"Be prepared for anything because I cannot rule out the (player) sales."
